Creed 3 makes one Adonis line from Creed 2 even better thanks to Amara's story in the sequel. Michael B. Jordan's latest entry in the Creed franchise takes a deeper look at Adonis' family and makes it even more important to him. Adonis' decision to retire from boxing was partially done with his family in mind, wanting to make sure that he stayed safe and healthy so he could be there for Bianca and their daughter Amara. The threat posed by Damian Anderson is the only thing that draws him back into the fight, and he does so with Bianca and Amara's support.
After only being a baby in Creed 2, the seven-year time jump in Creed 3 allowed Amara to take on a bigger role in the sequel. Her and Adonis' relationship is explored throughout the film, especially as she grows to have a bigger interest in boxing. The majority of Amara's role in the last movie came as her unexpected arrival created another challenge for Adonis and Bianca's plans. Creed 3 gives Amara a more active role to play. This includes plenty of teases that her future in the franchise could be in the boxing ring, which makes one of Adonis' lines from Creed 2 even better in hindsight.

Creed 3 Proves That Amara Is A Fighter, Just Like Adonis
Creed 3's Amara story perfectly pays off Adonis' line from the last movie about her fighting spirit. Her birth comes at a difficult point in Adonis' life, as he has to adjust to being a father when he has shut down after nearly losing to Viktor Drago. The stress of raising a kid builds to a moment in Creed 2 where Adonis struggles to get Amara to stop crying one night. It ends with Adonis telling Bianca, "She’s a fighter, just like her dad, and her mom too." While Creed 2 was more referring to Amara being deaf at birth, Creed 3 proves that she really is a fighter.
The proof of Amara's fighting spirit can be seen throughout Creed 3. She shows that she's willing to stand up for herself early on in the movie when she punches a school bully. However, the film takes Amara's story a step further by showing that she has become much more interested in fighting than anyone realized. She secretly has watched all of Adonis' fights over the years and knows all of his moves. This eventually leads to Adonis agreeing to show his daughter some more fighting techniques as he sees just how invested she is in being a boxer like her dad.
Amara Could Become The New Lead Of The Creed Franchise
Amara's Creed 3 story could result in her becoming the new lead of the franchise, which would further show how she is a fighter like Adonis. Creed 3's ending scene featured Amara and Adonis playfully fighting in the ring. It noticeably includes her repeatedly signing that she's the champ, which could be a hint of where the franchise is going. The moment puts her in a position where future Creed movies could follow Amara's rising interest in fighting, allowing Adonis to be her trainer potentially. This would also mean the Creed franchise expanding to cover female boxing.
The idea that Amara could lead future Creed movies like Creed 4 is not merely speculation anymore either. Reports of Michael B. Jordan working with MGM and Amazon to expand the franchise included mentions that follow-ups with Amara as the lead have been discussed. It is unclear when such a movie could happen, as another big Creed time jump might be needed to make her a bit older for the tournaments and fights. But, Creed 3's Amara story could just be the beginning of how the franchise continues proving Adonis' line right.
